It’s a new week and we’re off to a bold start!

On a personal note: You may have noticed that I was absent for a few days last week. I spent part of last week with my mom at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston. She had surgery for melanoma. I was so impressed with MD Anderson…the skill of the doctors and staff, the compassion shown by everyone from the valet parking attendant to the surgeon, and the precision with which the hospital is run each day. If you or a family member ever needs cancer treatment (and I pray you don’t), I would highly recommend MD Anderson. And as we move into summer…l hope you’ll join me in wearing sunscreen…the tan just isn’t worth the risk, in my opinion.

Hot pink = yes please!

I had noticed the absence and was a bit worried. I hope all treatments are progressing well and you are holding up okay. I am all over the sunscreen thing! Neutrogena has an awesome light facial sunscreen with 70 SPF. You can get it at Ulta.

I'll be praying for her speedy recovery. Tan skin is damaged skin as far as I'm concerned.

OK, ok, I'll put some on! I'm a sun worshipper--I confess! But you're right and I hope things go well.
